MyUniverse is a building block application with each block representing a piece of information or knowledge. MyUniverse building blocks, called Smart Parts, allow you to organize your information visually in a creative way that makes sense to you.

Each type of Smart Part has specific capabilities. There is a part which works simply as a sticky Note. Another part shows a photograph or a graphic. One part will contain an Internet link, a link to a document file on your computer and will even store the document in a MyUniverse file. We have a part that can show a stock price and another that performs formula calculations. We even have a part you can use to follow your Twitter and another for RSS Feeds.

We have a library of over 25 Smart Parts for you to use.

Graphic Samples 		Visual Presentation
Use image and graphic files in MyUniverse along with part property settings to create visually stunning projects.

MyUniverse has some interesting features allowing projects to be used as dynamic presentations with user interactions.

Portable Document 		Portable Documents
Some smart parts can link to or even store documents inside a MyUniverse project file. Storing many documents in a single project file means sharing a set of documents is as easy as sharing a single MyUniverse project file.

Create your own digital scrapbooks of your favourite hobbies and interests. Your creativity holds no bounds, so make use of all the Smart Parts you can to bring together all the different types of information you need into one place.

"What am I Worth" 		Value Processing
There are MyUniverse parts that can get values from various sources and process them. Values can be manually entered, calculated with a formula, or obtained from web pages and databases as well as from other parts.

"Periodic Table" 		Store all kinds of information
Projects can include many different kinds of information. This example is a periodic table with transparent link parts for each element in the table. Clicking on an element opens a web page with the details for it.

"Media" 		Multimedia
Video and audio files can be linked or stored in project files. A single MyUniverse project is capable of storing many media files.

●Twitter 		RSS and Twitter
Access RSS feeds and Twitter within a MyUniverse project. Twitter updates can be manually created or automatically produced by parts capable of raising alerts.

Create various types of charts such as genealogy charts organizational charts, mind maps and flowcharts. Because most Smart Parts can be used as elements in the charts, they can not only look good but can also include a vast wealth of information.

Script 		Scripting
If you know a little VB.NET or C# programming, you can really bring a project to life. In addition to having access to the full .NET framework, every part has properties that can be set and methods that can be called. Script parts can be an Action Target allowing any Action Event in the project to run script code.

The diversity of Smart Parts available makes MyUniverse a multi-dimensional application with a tremendous amount of flexibility. Some parts work with text and files, others work with the Internet and media and still others work with data.

In fact, you may find that in this one application you can do many of the things that would otherwise require you to obtain a number of other applications.

Here are some ideas of what you can create with MyUniverse

● Centralize all your Internet favourites and tie in all the social media, blogs and twitter you are following. MyUniverse may be a desktop application but it works hand in glove with the Internet.
● Create the ultimate portable document consisting of all the PDF, DOC, XLS or any other files that relate to each other in a single file.
● Make an inventory of your home, setting values and quantities to each item. Annotate items with photographs, scans of receipts, appraisals, additional notes, links to the internet and calculate the total value. Store the file on a memory stick and tuck it away in a safety deposit box for security.
● Track your investment portfolio in real time.
● Writing a book or a training course? Use MyUniverse to collect all your notes, ideas, files, clippings and photos in one place and move them around to organize and build structure to your material.
